The Test Valley runs between Winchester and Salisbury, following the River Test through some of England's most unspoilt countryside. Farthing Corner sits in the heart of it, in the village of West Tytherley - a 15th-century thatched cottage that's been part of this landscape for 600 years.
The River Test
One of the world's finest chalk streams, the Test is legendary among fly fishers. The crystal-clear water runs through water meadows past thatched villages. Stockbridge, the heart of Test fishing country, is just 10 minutes away.

Why Farthing Corner?
We're not on the tourist trail - and that's the point. The Test Valley is a place for those who appreciate England's quieter pleasures: the rise of a trout, the call of a pheasant, the peace of an ancient lane. Our cottage has been part of this landscape since around 1420.
